About the Event
This two‑hour training is designed for Head Start staff who work directly with families and need a clear, practical understanding of domestic violence and its impact on children and caregivers. Participants will learn how to recognize common and subtle signs of domestic violence, how to respond in ways that are supportive, trauma‑informed, and culturally respectful, and what actions they can safely take within their professional role. The session emphasizes maintaining appropriate boundaries, understanding mandatory reporting requirements, and connecting families to qualified community resources while prioritizing safety for both staff and families.
